''We had originally planned to spend an entire week camping but the weather did not cooperate and so we decided to check into a hotel. Blackbeard's Lodge was absolutely perfect! The rooms were clean and they have many different options and so we were able to stay in an efficiency apartment and save a little money on meals. The common areas are really nice- lots of comfy couches and tables and a gameroom and heated pool. Our boys, 6 and 4, felt right at home and enjoyed playing with other hotel gue...''

''I have stayed at the Buccaneer several times and I always find friendly service and a clean room or Suite. The Motel is right across the street with no buildings between you and the ocean.I would highly reccomend this Motel for those who wish to stay in a clean room or suite without paying a small fortune for the privilage. If you are looking for the Ritz(and it's price) look elsewhere. Otherwise the Buccaneer won't disappoint....''

''Our family has been staying at the Buxton Beach Motel for nearly 40 years! As a child I remember staying in the very same cottage we stay in today. Its comfortable, clean and a quick walk to the beach. What more could we ask for. The management are friendly and do a wonderful job keeping the units up to date. The location is perfect. You can walk to restaurants, gas station, grocery and gift shops. We like to ride bikes in the evenings and theres plenty of back roads close by for exploring...''
