''We thought the food was pretty good - ate there for lunch one day. Husband said the Wahoo was fantastic. Crabcake sandwich just so-so. Service was good the day we were there although the management was having a run-in with customers who were evidently walking out on the bill. Always nice to have a little drama with your meal. LOL. Would probably go back....''
''We've been going to Cape Hatteras for years. One of the places we LOVE to visit is the Gingerbread House Bakery to get their pizza for dinner and gingerbread cookies or cake for dessert. Their seafood lovers pizza is one of the best tasting pizzas we've ever had. It has lump crab meat, scallops, and other seafood. Yum!!! We also love their Greek Pizza and BBQ Chicken Pizza. The crust isn't quite as good as a good NYC thin crust, but the choice of toppings make it both unusual and DELICIOUS...''

''Found this place on the recommendation of a local (Thanks, Gary!). Fell in love with the Kill Devil Hills blend--so much so, that I'm ordering more today. Each cup I drink (back here in the 'real world') reminds me of those summer mornings, sipping freshly brewed coffee and watching the sunrise....''

''I have used OBXChefs2go for many different events and have found them very easy to work with. Wes is always available when I have a question. The food is great and they are always very professional. I would recommend them to anyone!...''
''The best breakfast and the nicest people on the beach. We visit every year and will be back next year. In fact, we usually rent our house each year based on the location of it to the pier. Looking forward to next year....''
''While on the Outer Banks when I was in the area on a business trip I decided to shop at the TimBuck 2 shopping area. I was looking for something for my wife as a gift from my trip. I found the Eclectic Treasures store at the back of the complex. Inside the store were so many possible options with your unique mix of gift item options. I finally decided on the enamel covered copper bowls. I could not decide which one to buy so I bought two. My wife said it was her favorite gift I have ever b...''
''I visited Hatteras Gifts & T's this summer and found that it had a large selection of gifts for the whole family. They had beach towels, hats, sunglasses, sarongs, toys, candy, drinks, OBX, HI, Burt's Bees and nice jewelry. I bought some of the beach glass jewelry which is very nice. They also had hermit crabs for the kids. I was very impressed with the variety of merchandise and how nice and helpful they were. I will definately visit them again this year....''
''We have eaten here several times; breakfast, lunch and dinner. Seating is limited and they can get quiet busy but the food is excellent. (I love their breakfast). If you are looking for an EXCEPTIONAL wedding cake taste theirs - possibly one of the best I've ever tasted and they designed one to our specs - it was beautiful....''
''We ordered my daughter's wedding cake from Tullio's late Sept. 2007. I found the owner to be very helpful and accommodating. The cake was delivered to the restaurant exactly when he promised and it was lovely. These cakes are not your run-of-the-mill chain grocery store cakes. They tend to be a dense cake with frosting that is not overly sweet. My mother-in-law is from NY and is accustomed to fine Italian bakeries and she, along with everyone else, thought it was delicious....''
''I had not been to Ocracoke for 14 years and revisited on Sept. 4, 2007. It was my sister's birthday, the weather was perfect and we decided to do a bit of shopping. She had never visited the Down Creek Gallery, in thinking the items inside would be too expensive. Upon entering, it was truly a wonderland of exquisite and beautiful craftsmanship from enlightened artisans! Kudos for the local artists who show their work there! Truly a highlight of my time visiting. I was most intrigued by the arti...''
''From the outside this shop looks small but once you walk through the door the place is BIG! This is easily the best surf shop on Hatteras Island. We've been vacationing on Hatteras Island all our lives and visited every shop here but these guys have a great formula. They will talk to you and educate you on the products and I've never seen them be pushy with sales or bad-mouth any other shop (something I have encountered in other shops - boooo) Definitely a place you want to go....''
''For a restaurant hanging its hat on wine and food pairings, wait staff knowledge of wine and information on why a particular wine was paired with a course was not shared. (Our server mispronounced Alsace.) We love food and wine, and delight in hearing exactly how a Truchard Carneros Merlot brings out the best in beef tenderloin tournados. Alas, we will never know. We do know that a sommelier beats a wine list housed in a three ring binder any day of the week. They are serious about the 6 p...''
''Duck's Cottage is most definitely the best place for coffee in Duck. Not only is it charming, the book selections are interesting, the staff is friendly and the coffee itself is outstanding, which I cannot say for some places serving coffee on the Banks....''
''Had a fantastic lunch there today. Ordered a bowl of clam chowder while I waited for my fried shrimp boat. There were a lot of clams in it too, which was a plus. Enjoyed those plump shrimp which came with shack chips & cole slaw. All very delicious. Will be going back to enjoy the food & the view....''
''These guys have a lot of great equipment for sailboarding and surfing. Sometimes you can find good used boards here too. I had them repair a surfboard for me last summer and they got to it really fast and now the board looks almost like new....''
