''We thought the food was pretty good - ate there for lunch one day. Husband said the Wahoo was fantastic. Crabcake sandwich just so-so. Service was good the day we were there although the management was having a run-in with customers who were evidently walking out on the bill. Always nice to have a little drama with your meal. LOL. Would probably go back....''
''The Butcher Block is the ONLY place to buy steaks at the beach. The quality is unmatched by anyone else here. Excellent service and an ultra clean shop. They also are the only Boar's Head Deli in Nags Head. You've gotta try this place. The sandwiches are awsome. Great job Butcher Block!...''
''We've been going to Cape Hatteras for years. One of the places we LOVE to visit is the Gingerbread House Bakery to get their pizza for dinner and gingerbread cookies or cake for dessert. Their seafood lovers pizza is one of the best tasting pizzas we've ever had. It has lump crab meat, scallops, and other seafood. Yum!!! We also love their Greek Pizza and BBQ Chicken Pizza. The crust isn't quite as good as a good NYC thin crust, but the choice of toppings make it both unusual and DELICIOUS...''
''Had a fantastic lunch there today. Ordered a bowl of clam chowder while I waited for my fried shrimp boat. There were a lot of clams in it too, which was a plus. Enjoyed those plump shrimp which came with shack chips & cole slaw. All very delicious. Will be going back to enjoy the food & the view....''
''Great little breakfast place with fresh doughnuts, apple uglies, and sandwiches. The apple ugly I had was very good, although I think I received a dud since it was mostly apple free. My wife had a burrito that was very large and very good. The eating area is somewhat small and was not especially clean. Overall, this is a great place to grab some breakfast on your way to the beach....''

''Found this place on the recommendation of a local (Thanks, Gary!). Fell in love with the Kill Devil Hills blend--so much so, that I'm ordering more today. Each cup I drink (back here in the 'real world') reminds me of those summer mornings, sipping freshly brewed coffee and watching the sunrise....''
''For a restaurant hanging its hat on wine and food pairings, wait staff knowledge of wine and information on why a particular wine was paired with a course was not shared. (Our server mispronounced Alsace.) We love food and wine, and delight in hearing exactly how a Truchard Carneros Merlot brings out the best in beef tenderloin tournados. Alas, we will never know. We do know that a sommelier beats a wine list housed in a three ring binder any day of the week. They are serious about the 6 p...''
''I love this surf shop. Marty and Ken are always quick to help. Always finish repairs quickly, and their prices are reasonable. Stop and time that you're driving on the beach road and have some free time....''
''I bought a pair of Birdwells last summer when we were on Ocracoke. I didn't know they even made them anymore. The shop is sort of small but they had a lot of great stuff and we found everything we needed before hitting the beach. Prices were reasonable too. Can't wait to come back next year!...''
''We ordered my daughter's wedding cake from Tullio's late Sept. 2007. I found the owner to be very helpful and accommodating. The cake was delivered to the restaurant exactly when he promised and it was lovely. These cakes are not your run-of-the-mill chain grocery store cakes. They tend to be a dense cake with frosting that is not overly sweet. My mother-in-law is from NY and is accustomed to fine Italian bakeries and she, along with everyone else, thought it was delicious....''

''It's Southern Style foods. They serve breakfast and lunch. They have an inside and outside dining area. Their breakfast includes, biscuits, bacon, sasuge, eggs, french toast, hasnbrowns, cressonts, any kind of sandwich you would like them to make, coffee. It's Deli style of course. You order, take your food to the register, pay and then go eat in one of their dining areas. I prefer to take it home. They do have WIFI which is a real plus. It's a favorite spots for budget minded diners....''
''I had not been to Ocracoke for 14 years and revisited on Sept. 4, 2007. It was my sister's birthday, the weather was perfect and we decided to do a bit of shopping. She had never visited the Down Creek Gallery, in thinking the items inside would be too expensive. Upon entering, it was truly a wonderland of exquisite and beautiful craftsmanship from enlightened artisans! Kudos for the local artists who show their work there! Truly a highlight of my time visiting. I was most intrigued by the arti...''
''Scott & his staff provided us with the most fabulous food for our parents 50th Wedding Anniversary & then for my brother's Wedding. The crab cakes are the best ANYWHERE! Their Chocolate dessert paired with Champagne was incredible. All the food was fresh, delicious, and beutifully presented. The staff is friendly, and most efficient. You can't go wrong for any occasion or just to drop in & take something amazing home....''
''The best breakfast and the nicest people on the beach. We visit every year and will be back next year. In fact, we usually rent our house each year based on the location of it to the pier. Looking forward to next year....''
