Better n Cheaper

If you are not savvy about Ocean Front rooms and looking for kinda sleep, bath and eating place, Salvo inn is one of the better choices in Salvo,Outer Bank.

Location: Salvo is in middle of Outer banks... so one day you can roam around Northern part of Outer bank (Kitty Hawk, Kill Devils etc) and then Southern part (Ocracoke, Hatteras, Buxton etc.)on the next day.Salvo beach is on walkable distance from motel. Beach is quite and lonely, better for relaxed walks. It has minus on cleanliness.

Service: Rooms were kept clean and toilets were disinfected regularly during our stay of 3 nights.

Rooms: Rooms are small but sufficient for we two and our 14 months old. Fridge, Electric cooking range, microwave, utensils, coffee maker, Cable TV, Queen sized bed, Air Conditioner were available in the room.

Rent: We paid $75 for 2 nights and $65 for 1 night plus taxes. We found this hotel as good value for money that we spent.

A good cheap weekend getaway

The Salvo Inn Motel is just about the most basic room you can get. It seems to be a very old rooming house. After checking in at the office, you follow a drive into a residential area. The motel is on your left, the biggest building there amongst the houses. My room contained a king size bed, a small refrigerator, a small microwave, a cable tv mounted from the ceiling and a bathroom with a full bath and shower. It was shabbily decorated but a decent value. I recommend it for a weekend but a week could get cramped. The beach is a block and a half from your room and very clean and partly isolated.
