go every year

Our family has been going to Rodanthe for 17 years. Always have to make a couple stops to see Debbie. 3 generations of family have loved this place, and you should too. Have a good selection of clothes, sunglasses, and accessories. If you want a real taste of what Rodanthe has to offer, I suggest you make a stop to the Rodanthe Surf Shop.

The real deal

Excellent shop and excellent service. Super friendly and very knowledgeable. They live on Hatteras Island and they know what they are talking about. If you want a huge selection of tshirts and tourist stuff, go elsewhere. Randy's Hatteras Glass boards made of premises.

The Original Soul Surf Shop!

Hey, this is what a surf shop is about, a surfer and family helping others along the way! Low key, no alot a frills, defineately not your mainstream bunch of garbage for sale! If you ever wanted a real experience about the sport of surfing this is your place. Randy is the owner, and I had my first custom board shaped there in 1990 by Robert Manville, and glassed by Randy. Never have I found a board that meet the experiences I had with it or performed better. Big kudos to Randy and his family! Thanks for keeping it real! Thanks for being a part of the eternal Outer Banks surfing lore!

yall taught me 2 surf and i love u all especially u debby! i hope u no i still love 2 surf and hope u remember me as the girl from tennessee whos never been surfing(but now she has) I LUV SURFIN!!

the only place to go

This is by far my favorite shop on the beach! If you want to know where the locals go, this is it! The surfboard rentals are inexpesive and the boards are made in Rodanthe by Randy - the owner. I know that they used to also offer lessons, however I'm not sure if they still do. If you have your own board, it's a great place to find out where the best surf spots are and they always have the best quality clothes and gear. I end up going there almost daily on my visits and they always remember who I am the next year when I come back - it's a family I love to support!

These people are great! Randy totally dialed me in on the local breaks and both he and Debbie had a real friendly vibe. Everything you would expect from a great surf shop.

The Rodanthe Surf Shop is without a doubt the best shop on the Outer Banks and caters to real surfers and those that wish to be. Their local knowledge of the Outer Banks is unmatched and their boards are sick. Know before you go!
