The food was decent, but its hard to mess up a salad and hot wings. That's all we ordered because we hadn't planned on a pricey lunch. $6.00 for a BLT sandwich? Come on!

It was a little bit of a bizarre experience but the bartender (from pittsburgh) provided excellent service! Will definitely go back!

It was so delicious we came back the next night. The mahi stix, crab balls, and hot tuna app were delicious. If you are up to the challenge, the steamer pot is out of this world. Go enjoy!

We wanted something local and the hostess recommended their ''CRAB CAKES''. As she said,''you get more crab then cake''. It has been two years since we tasted this wonderful dish and I still think about Hot Tuna's crab cakes! Don't drive past these eats! We will stop there again!

When we went back June 9th they had one. I have always had the best crab bisque anywhere there and all of their food is very reasonably priced. Have you looked at how expensive crab meat and cream are? They are one of the few restaurants that have fresh seafood from the area and it is always good. This is a true bar with a bar like atmosphere and good inexpensive food and cold beer. The service is typical for the Island, a little rough around the edges but fine. I would rather eat here with real food and real people that at some chain restaurant in Nags Head.

I ordered the way overpriced tiny cup of crab bisque and it was served cold. Next I had the crab cakes which were visibly burnt, I don't understand why the cook would even send them out like that. I ate them anyway, although I should have sent them back, they were horrible. The sides were awful as well. Both the coleslaw and potato salad had little flavor. Also this place is advertised as a pub yet they do not have beer or wine for sale even though it is still featured on all of the menus. I understand they are awaiting their ABC license but maybe they should make that clear somewhere on the doors or something for those of us that would like a cold beer or glass of wine with our dinner. The service was ok but we were the only diners there at the time. I will not be returning to this establishment.

The owner and cooks are fishermen and it's the real deal. I love the fried shrimp and flounder. They also have very friendly staff. This is the true experience of local living. This is a small restaurnt, if you really must bring a large party have a beer and chill out. Looks like they are expanding, last time I was in there they had some construction going on.

| 5 of 8 people found this review helpful: | | Service: | | | | Very much offended | | By obx 07 on 10/14/2007 | | In Oct. 06 15 of us came upon this place by accident and fell in love with it. The food was fabulous, our waitress was fabulous. We could not wait to come back. I told everyone the half hour trip was worth it. I could not have been more disappointed nor offended with what happended next.We had 17 people in our party. After waiting 1 hour and 5 min. and noticing that customers seated after us had recieved their food we began to wonder why we did not recieve ours. We approached the waitress asking what is the hold up. She rudely informed us this is a large party and they take longer. Next I spoke to what I assumed was the manager/cook he told me that we were welcome to leave. So we did. It is a shame a person's help can ruin a business. I really hope this review will help the owner know what is going on when not there. That bill would have been well over $200.00 for lunch. | |

Their krab legs are good. The atmosphere of the restaraunt is weird. There were about 5 workers with dredlocks & strange music playing. I liked the food but you will be weirded out about the atmosphere.
