Boardwok South brings something for the adventurous palates of Hatteras Island. Billing itself as an Asian-American eatery, it offers delicious Asian-style entrees from the wok, incorporating fresh vegetables, seafood, chicken, rice and noodles into flavorful, healthful dishes. There's also an Americanized side to the menu, with surf and turf entrees, sandwiches, kids' offerings and excellent sides. Boardwok South's atmosphere is clean, comfortably Spartan and relaxing, with a full bar in back.
Boardwok South is located in the Pamlico Station shopping center.

What a surprise! Great tuna dinner! | | By Photoman on 8/28/2008 | | My girlfriend and I have been reading reviews on this website during our week in Salvo and they are so mixed its hard to go by them. This place was a surprise though! We walked in not expecting much, I mean really, a Chinese restaurant on the Outer Banks??n :) The waiters looked like surfers and when we ordered Pepsi's, they came in plastic bottles for us to pour, so we still weren't expecting much. The menu was not terribly big, but varied. We ordered tuna steaks, seared and cashew encrusted. She had the brocolli with hollandaise sause and I had the rice and snap peas. What an incredible meal!! Prepared perfectly and tons of flavor!! I dont know what the little Asian side ''salad'' was, but I think they were some sort of sprouts. What a variety of different flavors and everything tasted soooo good!! We would definitely return but probably have the same thing since its one of our favorites. Definitely try this restaurant out once. The prices are a little higher than the crab shacks and bar type places down here, but it was definitely worth it!!

The crabcakes are the best ever! Wish they were open year-round.
