''We had the best time a couple of weeks ago. ALL the staff were WONDERFUL! The food was great and the bartender was funny!...''

''We thought the food was pretty good - ate there for lunch one day. Husband said the Wahoo was fantastic. Crabcake sandwich just so-so. Service was good the day we were there although the management was having a run-in with customers who were evidently walking out on the bill. Always nice to have a little drama with your meal. LOL. Would probably go back....''
''Uncomfortable and unaccommodating. Pretentious and it would not surprise me if the host in the previous post was the owner--I knew him years ago--we worked together for a couple of years and when I saw him a year and a half later, he pretended he did not know me...gimme a break...so many GOOD restaurants on the OBX, don't waste your money here!...''
''The food is always excellent here at The Tale of the Whale. The service is great and the views are too. I highly recommend the crab bisque soup, it is wonderful, as is all of the other food. You should make an effort to stop and eat here when in Nags Head....''
''We were THRILLED when Dinkys opened. Finally, a yummy place with a wonderful view, great clam happy hour (now gone...) Our favorite waitress is gone too, Janelle made it worth going! Then the chef left. It was closed some of the time were were there. Bummer. Hope they get the thrill back!...''
''This is a ''must do'' restaurant for lunch and we enjoyed it several times during our stay-- the decor , service, and food was always ''ship shape''-- fresh, beautifully presented, and delicious! It is one of our favorite places to dine at the Outer Banks--we encourage you to make it yours as well! The Sanderling Inn is First Rate!...''

''We went to Mo's almost every night during our 2 weeks in OBX. Service was great one night and then next night, kind of slow. Food was good bar food. Drinks were good, but not my Girly drink. My Cosmopolitan was more like juice than a martini....''
''My daughters wedding reception was held at the Captain's Table. I cannot rave enough about the restaurant, the staff, the owner or the awesome meal that was served. I whole heartedly recommend the establishment. Donna, the owner, is one in a million. She went way out of her way to provide excellent service and even pulled a miracle cake doctor out of her bag when the wedding cake that was provided by a third party was a pile of mush....''
''For a restaurant hanging its hat on wine and food pairings, wait staff knowledge of wine and information on why a particular wine was paired with a course was not shared. (Our server mispronounced Alsace.) We love food and wine, and delight in hearing exactly how a Truchard Carneros Merlot brings out the best in beef tenderloin tournados. Alas, we will never know. We do know that a sommelier beats a wine list housed in a three ring binder any day of the week. They are serious about the 6 p...''
''11 of us went out to dinner on a Tuesday, and the food was pretty darn good. Most men ordered the seafood platter, which was good, but not too plentiful. When I say plentiful, no body had leftovers for the next day. I had the crabcake sandwich, and it tasted a bit frozen. French fries were great!...''
''My wife and I always plan a night at the Blue Point. This the closest thing to a real gourmet NYC restaurant located in a vacation paradise. Highly recommend trying their ecclectic menu. A bit pricey but worth it for those who love well prepared food. Great views of the bay, try to book at sunset. I enjoyed their jumbo lump crabcakes and my wife had the scallops n pasta dish....''
''We vacation one week per year at the Outer Banks. It always a treat for us to dine at Henry's. Breakfast 3-4 mornings each week. We tried it for dinner on our last trip. Splendid prime rib!! Went to a ''pricier'' restaurant for the 'anniversary ambience', spent 3 times more, and were not as happy as we would have been at Henry's. Will continue to go many years to come!...''
''The food was fabulous and well presented. The chef knows how to serve Tuna (our favorite) and he's terrific with shellfish too. Double filtered water, was a pleasant surprise; no chlorine!
The only knock is that the physical surroundings need some fine tuning. The wallpaper is peeling and doesn't blend well with the tongue and groove wood paneling in the nect section. Dry wall joints are separating, obviously due to a moisture problem in the building. This however, did not keep us from enjoyi...''
''I stopped in for the nightly special (Monday - Prime Rib). It was about a 9oz steak with potatoes & veggies for $9.99. The food was cooked right & tasted great. The service was friendly and helpful. Check the wine list also....''
''What a refreshing dinner on the Outer Banks! This Bistro and Martini Bar has a lot to offer! Fresh cuisine prepared with global influence is done very well. The wine list, as well as the special reserve list, is a wine enthusiast's playground! As for the martinis, we started with a rosemary-lemon one and the Big O, we really like the sweet ones. Our server was very knowlegable and attentive, as well as the management. We went back late on a Friday night. The atmosphere had shifted to acco...''
