''We had originally planned to spend an entire week camping but the weather did not cooperate and so we decided to check into a hotel. Blackbeard's Lodge was absolutely perfect! The rooms were clean and they have many different options and so we were able to stay in an efficiency apartment and save a little money on meals. ''The hotel was very clean, staff was nice and hospitable but the room was small and very common. The bar with live outdoor entertainment across the street was not an appropritate scene for my 12 year old. People were loud and drunk and started fighting when we arrived. The police were called as the fight spilled into the downstairs hotel rooms. The next night there was no fighting but still very loud music very late and drunks. Also the ''continental'' breakfast was a let-down. Packaged muffins,...''
