So that's why Ocracoke is so neat.

A small museum, run by locals that love the island and want you to love it too. Ocracoke is a quaint place to visit but it surpassed being just a beach trip when I learned about the people and events that made Ocracoke what it is today. Museum offered ''Back Porch'' talks that were sometimes informational and often fun. The week we were there they offered storytelling two days with storytellers attending Donald Davis' National Storytelling Workshop.
