The Portsmouth Island Boat Tours will teach you about the unique history of the unique ''ghost village.'' Portsmouth Island offers secluded beaches, birdwatching, shelling, fishing and camping. The boat tours also show other surrounding islands including Blackbeard's hideout, Fort Ocracoke and dolphin watching.

I'm 12 years old and when I went on this trip I thought it was awesome!!!!! yes there is a lot of walking but it was enjoyable.

Amazing adventure! Once in a lifetime trip! Bring lots of DEET, water...but not young kids! Too long of a walk!
