''This was one of the places that was on my ''Must See'' list. It did not disappoint. The stories of the rescues were very interesting and seeing the house and the kitchen building like it would have been back then was a lot of fun. We did not get to tour the original 1874 station because it was damaged from a lightning strike. I definitely recommend visiting if you're going to the Outer Banks....''
''WOW! The staff here is the BEST! They know everything their is to do, the best times to approach different activities and all the best places to eat. What a nice and friendly staff also. Plus it's a gov't entity so no bias on the info. If you want to know where to shop and play in Corolla and Carova, stop off here first!...''
''A small museum, run by locals that love the island and want you to love it too. Ocracoke is a quaint place to visit but it surpassed being just a beach trip when I learned about the people and events that made Ocracoke what it is today. Museum offered ''Back Porch'' talks that were sometimes informational and often fun. The week we were there they offered storytelling two days with storytellers attending Donald Davis' National Storytelling Workshop....''
