| Definately will return!! | | By a Guest Reviewer | This was our first stay at the Tar Heel and we were very satisfied with our stay. The room was very clean and roomy. The bathroom also was very clean. The pool was nice and clean also. The service was great. I would recommend this motel to my friends and to anyone who is looking for a nice clean place to stay. There was a stairway to the ocean right across the beach road. Good location. | |

| Pleasant, clean, comfortable and economical | | By a Guest Reviewer | First thing I noticed was the state inspection grade of 100.0 when I checked in at the office. Then I found the inn keepers friendly, courteous and happy to answer all my questions about the area. Also, the outdoor pool is heated for cool evenings. I have since then made this my favorite place to stay at the Outer Banks. Beside these great accomodations, next door is the Dunes Restaurant which is known for their excellent buffet breakfast (a must have). I decided to write this review because of the special couple who are the inn keepers. Each stay is a special getaway I enjoy. | |

| graduation fun | | By a Guest Reviewer | | I loved that it felt like you were family as soon as you walked into the doors. I loved hearing all the different stories from''HEAVY''... great experience!!! | |

| love it! | | By a Guest Reviewer | | The people are always so friendly, and accomodating. The rooms aren't fancy, but they are clean, and the beach access is so convenient. It's nice to be down towards the end, and out of the busy part of the town. It's always been quiet, and you can just relax by the pool all day, if you want! | |

| Home away from home | | By a Guest Reviewer | Pros: Very quiet and restful Cons: Needed better A/C It was great. Very quiet and you could enjoy the beach | |
