The view is wonderful and the location is perfect. This was the first time I went to Nags Head off season. This is a great place to have a romantic weekend getaway. The indoor pool and hot tub overlooks the ocean, which makes it really relaxing. The service is excellent and the hotel employees and management team were very friendly. Two thumbs up for this hotel. We are going to start going here during the off season every year.

We liked that the beach was not crowded. We got plenty of rest and relaxation (just what the doctor ordered). Sue and the rest of the staff very very nice and friendly. We will see you in the fall for more fishing. Thank-You! EVA

The staff has always been cordial and non-imposing while adequately meeting our needs. We have found the hotel to be neat and clean and the beach area to be very nice.
We are headed back again this year.

I don't consider myself a very demanding customer but when I spend good money to stay someplace I do expect to be treated with a little more respect. Will stay somewhere else next time.

The rooms were comfortable for the rates. The hotel was located in the center of town. You are within 3 miles of everything you want to do. The beaches were not crowded like beaches in Florida in front of hotels. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone. Only bad experience was trying to dine at Windmill Point. The food is overpriced and the general manager was very rude when taking our seating request. Definitely try the Prime restaurant. It was an excellent dining experience. Great vacation overall. Thanks again staff at Nags Head Inn.

Real nice place to stay, but as soon as we parked our car to register, my daughter and her friend wanted to just walk up the steps leading to the ocean to just get a view. A women from the front desk went running after them and very rudely told them they couldn't. Our car was park right in front of the window to check in. That was the only thing I was upset with. Will stay there next year if possible. One other thing, they need to cover the view from the desk to the second floor in front of the elevator. Hated to be stared at everytime you got on or off from the people at the front desk.

A recent bout of chemotherapy had rendered her nearly immobile due to, among other things, severe blistering of her feet. Being eternal optimists, we were quite hopeful that she would be feeling better by our check-out day (two days later). We hoped for the best, because the beach house we had reserved would not be available until mid-afternoon on the day of check-out. If her condition did not improve, there was no way she could endure the period from hotel check-out to beach house check-in without an appropriate place to rest (i.e., in bed). Unfortunately, her condition did not improve and we were left with quite a dilemma.
Hoping to find a modicum of compassion at the Nags Head Inn, I asked the staff if we could stay a few hours past check-out, given the extraordinary circumstances. Much to my surprise, considering the typically generous attitudes I've encountered when visiting other establishments in the Outer Banks, the answer was no. I was told, in no uncertain terms, that the policy of the Nags Head Inn is to charge an extra day to anyone who stays past check-out. I questioned several members of the staff about this policy and received the same heartless response each time. Not wanting to let this regrettable episode ruin an otherwise delightful vacation, I decided to pay the additional 175 dollars so we could stay the extra few hours.
The staff insisted that this was necessary, since there was no way housekeeping could have our room ready in time for other customers to use if our check-out was delayed at all. This soon proved to be incorrect, as we witnessed many rooms still being cleaned when we checked out later that afternoon. It was then readily apparent that room availability was not the real issue, and it was also readily apparent that the Nags Head Inn is much more concerned with their customers' wallets than with the customers themselves.
