I was not impressed with the quality of the seafood. The crab cakes were mostly bread (prepackaged frozen by Casey's Seafood Newport News, VA). The cocktail sauce on the shelf was outdated (expiration date was 01/28/08), so I had to go to Harris Teeter to get cocktail sauce. The steamed shrimp was average.
Granted today is March 20,2008 and is only their second day open for the season, so I will give them the benefit of a two star rating instead of one. | |

Austin Fish Company has the freshest seafood. Went there last week shortly after arriving to our destination and was surprised by the cooked seafood plates to go. Ordered several fried plates and a steamer bucket for my entire group and was blown away for the amount of food for the price!!! A great deal and cooked to perfection. Highly recommended to cook seafood yourself or have them cook for you! | |

They offer a wide variety of shrimp (small to jumbo), all types of crab and crab legs, oysters, clams, fish, lobster, and anything you can think of to go with it. All this selection and great prices, too! They also offer ''steam buckets'' to go. Located in Nags Head, this may be further out of the way than the nearest seafood store--but it definitely is the best value. Get there before 7pm! | |
