I love their Jane-Iradale makeup and their pureology hair products. Plus the gallery which it is situated in is so cute and relaxing. There is always something new to look at and Linda, the owner, is the best in the business. | |

Much to my hesitation of going into a strange salon, I was very much in need of a hair cut while visiting the Outer Banks from Pennsylvania in April.
I found this salon on your web site and really liked the name Shear Genius, so I gave it a try. My friend Silvia went with me for my hair cut appointment. We were delighted to find that this salon was inside of an art gallery. The owner and stylist, Linda Porter, is also a photographer and an artist. What an interesting and delightful person! The gallery setting, along with the classical music in the background set the mood for the most relaxing salon experience. While I was getting a haircut, my friend received a complimentary makeup consultation from Kathleen. We enjoyed our selves so much that we left our husbands at the cottage and went back again the last day of our vacation. I had my hair colored and my friend also had a haircut. We spent most of our day there. I'm thinking that it will be worth a trip back here for a long weekend to get our hair done agin. | |
