Review Guidelines
Basic Review Guidelines:

Your review should focus on specific aspects of the business you are reviewing. Do not simply state you liked or disliked the business - be specific.

The best reviews include not only whether you liked or disliked a business' products or service, but also why.

DO NOT TYPE IN ALL CAPS!

Do not mention competing company names in your reviews. Focus on the company you are reviewing, and if you wish, leave a review about the other companies on their directory listings.

Do not comment on other reviews - respect their position and write your own, but do not argue with others.

Do not use profanity or post spiteful remarks.

Do not write a review that is less than 50 words in length. The goal of a review is to share your experiences with a particular company - very short reviews do not accomplish this.

Do not post phone numbers, email addresses or URLs.

Do not post inflammatory reviews - stop and put yourself in the shoes of the owner of the business you are posting about.

Do not post many reviews about one business. Doing this will cause all of your reviews to be deleted.

Remember, you are responsible for your words.

Dr Coverdale was great
By Guest on 5/16/2012
While Dr Coverdale was great, the woman working the desk was totally unhelpful. She needed my medical cards printed but gave no suggestions as to how I would get this. I'm on vacation and don't pack a printer! She seemed as if she didn't want to be bothered. I presented multiple options after talking to my health care provider and finally she allowed me to log in to her computer to print off the documents. I was in tons of pain and just wish she would pretend to care. The dr was awesome and I feel better already but the support staff there is awful.

Don't know where to begin. We apologize for not remembering names, but you know who you are. Wonderful, wonderful service! From the first phone call trying to find your office to saying goodbye to everyone who helped - nicest experience going to a medical facility when feeling yucky. My husband and I had a virus and needed an antibiotic and cough medicine as we were hours away from being completely bedridden while on vacation! Katie, the RN (whose name I can't remember), Linda Coverdale and the gals at the front desk - WOW -we commend you for your promptness, friendliness, knowledge and help! We are back home now and other than an annoying cough that will last another how many weeks, we are well. A big hug to all and thank you again. If we are sick at the Outer Banks again, we will surely come see you guys!

Helpful and understanding
By an NCBeaches Guest on 4/23/2012
In August of 2011, my son had an abrupt ending to his day at the beach. While wave surfing, he fell and felt a twinge in his arm. We thought it was just a tendon but within a half hour his elbow swelled to the size of a baseball and he was laughing along with saying, ''mom this really hurts.'' I had issues at another location because as an ex military spouse, my children didn't have the issued ID cards from their father. The staff here was great in trying to assist in receiving the information and when the fax copies came through poor, Dr. Polidoro allowed it to be sent to her private email. I was very greatful, and well my son broke his left medial epicondial. They also called a few days later to check up on Avery. With the situation I was having about insurance and the help they gave my son and myself, if ever again I need their assistance, I'll go there.

unprofessional and untrustworthy
By an NCBeaches Guest on 11/13/2008
As with anything, there is a mix of quality at Urgent. There are some caring and professional individuals, but on average, I was shocked by the poor care provided at UC. The doctor I saw was wearing sweatpants and a dirty t-shirt and gave me incorrect information about my prescription medicine. When I called a week later with an urgent question about my prescription, I only could reach a voicemail and got no call back.

Wonderful & Caring
By Guest on 8/19/2008
My family and I have used Dr. Sanchez and his group for several years. Each practioner that we have seen has been kind and caring. They all take the time needed to care for our needs and never make us feel rushed. The office staff is kind and professional and stay patient even when things are hectic in the office. They even return phone calls when we have questions or leave messages. I highly recommend this group for medical care on the Outer Banks.

I was glad to get help on a Saturday!
By Guest on 8/11/2008
I caught bacterial conjunctivitis (pink eye) from my nephew this week at the beach. I went into the urgent care center on Saturday at 4:15 and was seen an hour later (not bad at all for a walk-in!) The staff checked me over carefully and gave me the prescriptions I needed. When I called back for advice three days later (Monday afternoon), I received a return call three hours later, and the nurse who called was very patient and helpful. I am very pleased with the level of service I received.

Great Docs

Dr Sanchez takes his time with you and is very friendly; you do not feel like a number and do not feel rushed. They even called me at home to check on me later in the week.

Decent away from home place
By Greg on 7/30/2007
If you do not have an appointment and/or you are not a ''regular'', then be prepared to wait 1-2 hours (during summer time) to be admitted (if it is not a life threatening visit). They will collect a $100 payment up front if they do not accept your insurance or if you don't have insurance.
The service is very professional. The doctors have good bedside manners and the nurses are good too. They don't just rush you out the door! Noone should like going to see a facility such as this while on vacation, but if you have too, this one on the outerbanks is a good one!
