Sugar Creek Seafood Restaurant will serve you a seafood dinner while you enjoy the incredible views of the Roanoke Sound. The entire family will love the casual, laidback atmosphere found at Sugar Creek. Menu selections range from shrimp to prime rib, and children's meals are served on a free souvenir frisbee. If you would rather eat your seafood at home, shrimp and crab legs are sold by the pound and available for take-out.

One of my vacation favorites!

My family and I go to Nags Head nearly every year for summer vacation, and every year this is our special place to eat dinner. Their fried shrimp are outta this world, service is quick and efficient (I'm a waitress so I value these things). Prices are about average for seafood, but the food is phenomenal and worth every penny! Also located inside the restaurant is a little boutique where you can find some really neat jewelry and nick nacks. The restaurant is situated in a great spot and in the evening request a window seat so you can watch the sunset over the sound. Also ask about the nutria that lives in the waters near the restaurant. He's a local legend! One of the best restaurants on the Outer Banks!

Casual Seafood Place

I ate here, back when it was RV's. Their new name makes me think more of an Ice Cream place than a seafood restaurant, but then again RV's sounds like a trailer stop. Regardless of it's unsual monikers, the seafood is very delicious and fresh. I remember very much enjoying my crab cake platter. The atmosphere is very casual, and good for families. Once you are done eating, or while you wait to get seated, you can go for a walk on their docks. When I was there, they had a trap that allowed people to go crabbing, stationarily on the dock.

Do They know shrimp!

My family comes to visit every year and they love to go to Sugar Creek. The kids love going out on the dock and boardwalk and seeing all the ducks. . . the adults like grabbing a drink on the deck. I'm a shrimp fan and they have 15 different ways to prepare great shrimp. It's a great meeting place for my fmaily.

Superior Food and Service

Went in for lunch. Very good service from the moment we walked in. I had seafood and it was cooked prefectly and fresh. All our meals were good.

Great View. Walk out on the dock and see the crabs.

In our 2 weeks in the obx, by far the best food, service and view.

There were more NC cars in the parking lot than tourists.

we went here 2x's on our trip. the food was great! the 1st night we got the broiled seafood platter and the crabcake & shrimp (fried). the shrimp were crispy and not overly breaded like a lot of places. the crabcake was also good but the shrimp was better. my husband's platter was very fresh and he kept raving about the scallops and the fish. on our 2nd trip, we got the prime rib & shrimp and the steamer. my husband's prime rib was delicious and i'm not a big prime rib fan! i could barely finish the steamer platter. the mussels were small but tasty. other than being a mess when i finished (which i expected), it was very good! my kids were very happy about getting the frisbees that come w/ their platters. they eat like little birds & ended up sharing 1 meal but the waitresses always brought us 2 frisbees anyway! nice people, good food, prices not too bad for seafood. a definite must do when you're on obx!

Southern Hospitality at its Best!

RV's is a great lunch stop when visiting the Outer Banks. The food is fresh, well cooked and the price is right! We love the Tuna/Chicken/Macaroni Salad Combo. We've always had a great table with a view and excellent service. The staff is very welcoming. We love the new addition. We stop there 3 to 4 times during our week's stay in Nags Head. Can't wait to go back.

Lost It's Luster

Ever since the change from RV's to The Sugar Shack, it's been on a downhill slide. The food used to great, and a trip to RV's used to cap off our week. The staff is as friendly as ever, but the food is not like it used to be.

This is a tradition for us we love the place!! The outside walkways and bar make any wait for a table, no problem at all!! Great local seafood! Yummy!!

The Best!

This has to be the best seafood I have had along with the crab dip! The crab dip was delicious. The fried shrimp were crispy and not greasy. We will be back.

Every year the family enjoys the trip to RV's for dinner. I always hope there is a wait so we can enjoy the outside services with Jimmy Buffett music playing, a glass of Merlot, and the beauty of the sound and sun. We'll see you next week!

Every year my whols family, usually 20-25 of us go to RV's as a beach tradition. The kids love looking over the water for the otter-looking like animal.

Beautiful Views

RV's is a great seafood restaurant on the Causeway in Nags Head overlooking the Roanoke Sound. The atmosphere, service and food are excellent. A little expensive, but not as bad as other restaurants on the OBX. Enjoy!
