| 3 of 5 people found this review helpful: | | Value: | | Service: | | | | Best Breakfast on the Beach | | By Guest on 6/12/2008 | We go to Nags Head every year for a week (like many of you, I suspect!) -- the Pier is a must visit every year for breakfast... the view is always beautiful (especially if you can sit in the deck area overlooking the water) and the food is not only very tasty but reasonably priced.
My personal favorites are the EM special (scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon/sausage mixed in; plus the usual sides) and the fried fish (fresh trout - the whole fish, practically, skin on; also with the usual sides).
The waitstaff may be busy (especially on weekends), but they're always friendly and helpful. Nothing ruins good food faster than bad service, and that's just not going to happen at the Pier.

We spend a week in Nags Head and my husband spends about half of it on the pier catching fish or spending time talking about fishing. The price is good for a license and the view is beautiful. You can also get a pass to walk the pier for the day. The kids love seeing what everyone caught. A great place to spend a few hours!!!

We visit every year and will be back next year. In fact, we usually rent our house each year based on the location of it to the pier. Looking forward to next year.

My kids love it because the waiter or waitresses always point out the dolphin swimming early in the morning past the pier to them. Very friendly staff look forward to next spring.
