My family and I eat here every summer. I love the decor, the service is excellent and the food is very good. My only complaint...it's rather expensive. I'm still going back this summer!

Ate at Al's last week. The decor is just plain fun (especially for those of us who grew up in the 50's). The food was good, although not quite ''the best chicken we've ever eaten'' as the waitress kept telling us. Waitress was very friendly & helpful. Would go back again.

Gimmick Restaurant with Terrible Food

I've passed by this restaurant every year without stopping to eat there. It always struck me as a fake 50's style restaurant. My predictions couldn't have been more true. When I finally did stop to eat at this restaurant, I found it to be a 50's CocaCola hell. It was your ubiquitious tourist trap adorned in all manner of CocaCola memorabilia. Even worse, the food was simple and bland. All this being said, I could have paleted the decor and food, if it weren't for the outrageous prices they charged for a lunch ($37 for three people).

Their buffet was ''roach coach'' style food, for which they charged $7 a person. It consisted of beef tips in gravy with rice and fried chicken. You would be better off going to the local grocery store and buying the best deli meats and bread.

There are better restaurants, by all means, avoid this tourist trap and spend your money elsewhere.
