What a great place!

We first went to Salty Paws right after they opened while on vacation in April 07, and brought back lots of treats for our golden retriever, who adored the biscuits, especially the carob-coated ones. We went back 18 months later and the lovely owner exclaimed right when we walked in ''Oh, welcome back! I remember you from last year!''. What a great greeting! With all the people she must see we were amazed that she remembered us! We bought double the amount of treats for our dog and had a good time talking about our dogs and everything else. Really a great place, very cute decor, neat toys and items and of course, the wonderful baked treats. This is always a must-stop when we come to to the Banks and we will definitely be back!

Love those biscuits!

We just made our second trip to Salty Paws, so now it's officially one of our traditional stops to make as part of our visit to OBX. We purchased the mini biscuits in a variety of flavors, and our boxer seems to love them. It's a really cute store, nice and clean and everyone we met was very friendly. If you're taking your pet to the beach, you should definitely bring them in to get a great homemade treat.
