Unfortunately this is not the case at Health-A-Rama. The two employees were engaged in a discussion of a personal nature and did not greet or even acknowledge that a lone customer had entered the store. Although I admittedly did not ask for assistance, it is good business to give, or at least offer some sort of assistance. Unfortunately at this store, the only acknowledgement of a customer's presence in the store was a brief, unfriendly look when leaving.
I have to find very specific products for a metabolic disorder, and often have to special order products by the case, which often requires proactivity and cooperation on both sides. Based on their inability to be proactive in providing basic customer service, it was difficult for me to be confident in having them handling any special requests.
It is possible that they were having an off-day and didn't realize how much their customer service was lacking. Hopefully that was the case during my first (and what will be my only) visit, as others seem to have experienced more helpful attitudes than did I. | |

The service is generally good and they have a decent selection of products. The prices, however, are a bit more than what you will find at similar stores in other areas. They also downsized and got rid of their bulk spice/dry goods section, which was my main reason for going there. While I will shop there if I'm in the area, it's not practical to make a separate trip. | |
