This is a local Outer Banks favorite and for good reason; good food at affordable prices. Burgers, hand cut french fries, corned beef hash and steak sandwiches are just a few of the items on the menu. Very casual, Art's is located in a tiny building on the Beach Road in Kitty Hawk. They are open for breakfast and lunch all year. Full Bar. Non Smoking.

We visited OBX this summer and stumbled upon this quaint beach restaurant. We ordered hamburgers which were the best we have eaten on this beach. Our children ordered hot dogs and repeatedly told us they were the best hot dogs and fries they had ever eaten. Art's Place is very family oriented, casual and friendly. We learned that this restaurant was established nearly 30 years ago by Mr. Art himself. Although he is not longer associated with the restaurant, Mr. Bill, his 28 year business partner continues to maintain this friendly atmosphere with the help of a new partner. Good food, great atmosophere and across from the ocean!!! We WILL be back!

Art's Place: Great Food, Great Place

This place is an Outer Banks tradition. We had lunch - fried shimp with french fries & fried clam strips with hushpuppies. Both were really good and the servings were generous. A lot of locals eat and hang out there. Art himself was there, wearing a big smile and telling his great stories. The service was fast and friendly. The prices were very reasonable. We'll definitely return to this Outer Banks original eatery.
