''This place is the most discusting restaurant I have ever been in. It was unclean and the buffet tables were so old and nasty. The wait for the restroom was about 20 minutes and you dont even want to hear about them!!...''
''Absolutely fantastic! I have lived at the beach for a long time and have run a couple of Restaurants. This place is a great value and a great taste. The owners are a real nice couple and the food is always good. Say hello to the kids while you are there and tell them that Mike from Island Nautical sent you!...''
''Stack'em offers one of the best breakfasts I've had anywhere, let alone in OBX. You may pay a couple dollars more than at McDonald's, but you can taste the difference in every bite. Stack'em is one of those rare breakfast spots that does not skimp on the quality of their ingredients- how many times have you eaten in restaurants where the bacon is flacid and tasteless and the sausage has the texture (and taste) of cork. Oh, and the COFFEE!!!... evidently they use a blend from a local gourmet coff...''
''Being a jewish expatriate from the UK (and living in Kitty Hawk) the lox and bagels are better than any I remember from the UK or any where in the US or anywhere else in the World including Israel. Most of my time is spent working in the Bahamas and the first thing I do on arrival home is ask my wife to take me to Maxs. If anyone knows of a better place let me know because in my humble opinion this place will yake some beating....''
''We vacation one week per year at the Outer Banks. It always a treat for us to dine at Henry's. Breakfast 3-4 mornings each week. We tried it for dinner on our last trip. Splendid prime rib!! Went to a ''pricier'' restaurant for the 'anniversary ambience', spent 3 times more, and were not as happy as we would have been at Henry's. Will continue to go many years to come!...''
''We went to Mo's almost every night during our 2 weeks in OBX. Service was great one night and then next night, kind of slow. Food was good bar food. Drinks were good, but not my Girly drink. My Cosmopolitan was more like juice than a martini....''
''We have eaten here several times; breakfast, lunch and dinner. Seating is limited and they can get quiet busy but the food is excellent. (I love their breakfast). If you are looking for an EXCEPTIONAL wedding cake taste theirs - possibly one of the best I've ever tasted and they designed one to our specs - it was beautiful....''
Not Rated 1 ReviewMcDonald's 5336 N Croatan Highway, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949
''My only complaint about this McDonalds is that it was built years ago before the OBX explosion of tourists. So its a bit small for the crowds.
But the food is typical McDonalds and it makes the kids happy and thats all that matters....''
''Perennial favorite for familes looking for a bargain dinner. Famous for franks, but shrimp are outstanding and fried food is as good as anyplace on the OBX. Staffed by college kids, service is friendly and fast. Sit outside, and enjoy the traffice whizzing by on RTE 158 for the complete experience...''
''I recently went to Hooters in Kitty hawk, For all of those who rate hooters low please get a life. I actually met my wife from there, everyone there has a very nice friendly personality and the food was excellent all waitresses are busy that is the sign of a good restraunt but they still took the time to show me attention and great service,...''
''This has to be some of the best BBQ I have ever had. These guys really know what they're doing. We had the pulled pork, ribs and fried chicken and all were excellent. The side dishes are even better. That night they had brunswick stew, collard greens and chicken and dumplings. They were better than mama's. Prices were great too-most of the entrees were around $10. Service was friendly and the location is close to everything. Highly recommended....''
''What a refreshing dinner on the Outer Banks! This Bistro and Martini Bar has a lot to offer! Fresh cuisine prepared with global influence is done very well. The wine list, as well as the special reserve list, is a wine enthusiast's playground! As for the martinis, we started with a rosemary-lemon one and the Big O, we really like the sweet ones. Our server was very knowlegable and attentive, as well as the management. We went back late on a Friday night. The atmosphere had shifted to acco...''
''Wow. Terrible service. My mother and I were told 20 mintues for carry out, and we waited an hour. It was horrible. I kept asking the lady that was working how much longer and she kept saying 5 more minutes. I told her that we didn't want the food any more (we already had paid for it)and the chef followed me outside with the bag of food- which on top of the wait and bad service was not good. I do not recommend this restaurant. GO ELSEWHERE....''
''The food was fabulous and well presented. The chef knows how to serve Tuna (our favorite) and he's terrific with shellfish too. Double filtered water, was a pleasant surprise; no chlorine!
The only knock is that the physical surroundings need some fine tuning. The wallpaper is peeling and doesn't blend well with the tongue and groove wood paneling in the nect section. Dry wall joints are separating, obviously due to a moisture problem in the building. This however, did not keep us from enjoyi...''
