| Value: |  | Service: | | | | awesome | | By Guest on 5/5/2008 | | I have been staying at the cavalier every year in august since i was a baby, and my father and his family before that , it has been kind of like a family tradition for almost 50 years now, my brothers and sisters aunts uncles cousins and grandparnts meet there every year, and we would never want to stay anywhere else. The rooms are great, the service is great, and in my opinion it is the best place you could possibly stay on the outer banks. | |

It's red brick and one-story. The oceanfront rooms have little porches and a wonderful view of the breakers. We had a poolside room and there was easy access to the beach. There is also a nice observation deck at roof-level. The Cavalier Motel boasts a big swimming pool, which comes in handy when there are rip current warning flags up at the beach. The parking lot is roomy with plenty of space to maneuver. An excellent restaurant, Port o' Call, is right across the street from the motel. | |
