| Great price, great location | | By a Guest Reviewer | | We loved the deck which went from the hotel out to the beach. We were pleasantly surprised when we received our final check out form and saw how little this experience had cost us. | |

| 1 of 1 people found this review helpful: | | I would look elsewhere | | By a Guest Reviewer | | The room was nice although, the couple that came with us had a tv that didn't work properly and was never fixed during our stay. The game room was a couple of games in a hallway. The fitness room was an exercise bike in an empty hotel room. The sounds of doors slamming early in the morning was distracting when trying to sleep. The good thing was the view from the back of the hotel which was very nice with the close proximity to the water. | |

| Staff Training | | By a Guest Reviewer | | Unit OK, but training of staff lacking. Towels for room not complete, coffee cups and coffee not replaced. Staff would gey fast what you were missing but for the price of the room a customer should not have to call the desk. | |

| 1 of 1 people found this review helpful: | | don't go for the pool | | By a Guest Reviewer | | pool seemed dirty and area smelled. Rowdy teenagers--not guests--chased most small kids away. No supervision at all. Also, the pool is indoors, so you won't get any sun. Otherwise, the hotel was clean and well appointed. | |

It shows the wear and tear associated with being a beach front hotel and could use some refurbishing - especially in the public areas (lobby, hallways, pool area, etc.) The guest rooms were clean but worn. Our biggest concern was with the pool which did not appear to be clean - the water was cloudy and no one in our group would use it. On the positive side, the location is great. In my opinion it gets 2 stars max.

Cons: House keepers tried to rush us.
The weekend we went it was extreemly windy, and a bit chilly, the hotel didn't have our reservation, but upgraded us to a better room for the mistake, and then that night the power was off so they again attempted to help us with glow sticks. I will come back in the fall after things die back down after the summer crowd.

The pool itself was dirty and smelled like urine. I didn't see anyone cleaning the pool for the week I stayed there. The employees are rude and not trained very well. The hotel itself smells like a men's lockeroom. There was roaches in our room. The food in Peppercorns was very bland, and was either overcooked or undercooked. The comedy club was a joke. The room the comedy show was in was nasty. The cieling was actually falling down around us. Not to mention it was leeking water on the other guest. The hotel also lets the locals hang out on the property and take over the entire deck area. I had seen some young teenagers on the deck late at night, drinking beer and smoking cigarettes and pot. I was told that some of them were the children of a manager of the hotel. The only nice thing I can say about the entire stay was the deck bar was a fun place to hang out during the day. If your planning to go to the Outer Banks, my advise would be to not stay at the Ramada Plaza. There are many cheaper and nicer hotels and motels in the area.
