One of the few remaining ''old Nagshead'' style shops, The Bird Store is an art gallery full of local and regional art, with a specialty of decoys and wildlife carvings.You will find herons, egrets, sandpipers, ducks and more. With our expertise in old decoys, we have a room full of antique decoys as well as antique hunting and fishing items. You will also find original paintings, seashore art, lighthouse art, prints, wildlife gifts, and more. The Bird Store is a must when visiting the Outer Banks!!!

Great Local Art!

My family visits this store every year when we are vacationing on the Outer Banks. It has pretty much become a family tradition!
They have a wide selection of local art: carvings, prints, paintings, etc. If you want to take home a true keepsake rather than something ''Made in China'' the Bird Store is your place! The owners are almost always there and are very personable and friendly; they have given us many recommendations over the years of where to eat, shop, and fish while we are vacationing.
