We were very anxious about boarding him, but our fears were alleviated when we met the caretakers and saw the kennels. What a bargain for our peace of mind!! | |

Lab to the Salty Dog and I am so happy with the service we received. He had never stayed there before but he will be back. The folks working here were very helpful and very kind - you can tell that they really care about the animals in their charge. For example, I had brought my dog's bed and when it was time to leave, the bed was washed and waiting for us to take home - what service! Also, I loved being able to take him out for outings and he enjoyed our time together playing on the beach. He was obvioiusly enjoying his vacation too because each time we got to the parking lot he pulled me inside and was happy to be back! As stated by someone else, the kennels themselves are another huge plus. They are very spacious and give the dogs plenty of room to move around in which is not something you often find. Both my dog and I were extremely satisfied with the services we received at the Salty Dog and we will be back again! | |

They are groomed,boarded and trained here. I have never seen anything unprofessional going on the kennel is always clean the people are always nice and willing to please. My dogs are always so happy when we pull up to the salty dog they can't wait to go in!! So before you listen to negative comments like the one who evidently doesn't care about care and quality just about having a big parking lot to park her fancy car in, call the salty dog and you'll get what I mean. I would never consider leaving my dogs anywhere but here. You'll do the same if you want your dog to have the best at a reasonable price | |

Maybe other people live there in the apartments and are working on their own vehicles and like to listen to music. Maybe one of their dogs needed to go to the vet.By the way, why did you not mention ANYTHING about the kennel,the people, and weather or not the kennel was clean and did the dogs seem to be taken care? I would rather have read about the important things and not personal comments that are insignificant and non-helpful. Also,you should have followed the guidelines of this website!!! We boarded are dogs there and had a wonderful experience!! I will return there often!!

I never seen anything like it before and was pleased to see something like it on the Outer Banks. The dog kennels are rectangular and long with a private little door to let your dog out into its own private little yard. Then, throughout the day the tech will open the door to your dog's little yard and it can play out in the big yard with the other doggies. It is air conditioned and heated for your pets happiness. It is a couple miles off the main highway but I think its worth it. The place is covered with alot of tree's and fresh air. The rates are very reasonable. I just love the way place was designed, too bad they don't have any photos of the kennels. It is neat. | |

A young man(looking like a grease monkey) was working on cars and suv's in there already small parking area..the SUV pictured in the add had dogs stored in them which was also uncalled for.. I'll never do business there again... | |
