The Colington Cafe is a popular Outer Banks restaurant that features a variety of continental cuisine. They specialize in seafood but also feature steaks, pastas and chicken. You will enjoy ending your meal with one of their homemade desserts. Large parties are welcome and reservations are recommended. The Colington Cafe is open from late March to November, as well as Christmas week and Presidents' Day weekend.

The food was very good, atmosphere excellent. We have been visiting the Outer Banks for 15 years, and by far, the best meal was here.

Our favorite OBX restaurant

Every year for the past six years, my family of four, parents-in-law, and one sister-in-law and her husband meet up for dinner at the Colington Cafe (we always make reservations, which I highly recommend). And every year, everyone (even my young sons!) thoroughly enjoys themselves. The food is plentiful and delicious, the service is attentive without hovering, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We all hope to visit the Colington Cafe for many more years!!

How Romantic!

If A Little More Upscale is Your Thing

A little more formal and upscale isn't my thing at the beach but if it's yours this is a better bet than some of the places on the northern beaches. It's tucked away off the beat and path but well worth the drive down. The menu is excellent as well as the atmosphere and menu. A great place if you want to leave the shorts and flipflops at home. The food will rival anything OBX has to offer. Reservations is a very good idea.
