| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | Disappointed With Dick | | By Debbie on 7/23/2008 | | Have been to DD's in past approximately 6 years ago, All I can say is ''What happened?'. The food was passable and certainly not worht the money we paid to eat. We were seated next to the men's bathroom whichsmelled and then seated next to the womwn's bathroom...not much better. I won't return on our next trip. In one word ..Overpriced | |

I noticed the rating and realized that even Taco Bell rated better than Dirty Dick's. Now THAT'S sad! I won't return again -- too risky considering the potential of getting food poisoning! (Saw a waiter reach in the garbage can and pull out unused condiments -- YUK! No wonder they have the rating they do!)

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | By back2obx on 6/23/2008 | | We eat here every time we vacation in OBX. Great food and service. Some of the dishes are a little pricey, but not horrible. Last time I was there, I tried the She-crab soup...DELICIOUS! Will definitely re-visit next time we're one the island. | |

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | goodtimes | | By Guest on 5/27/2008 | | The best part of DD is the people they are real down to earth and freindly | |

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | By Tommy on 5/22/2008 | | Read the negative reviews, but the people I was with still wanted to go. Not much to my surprise the food was horrible. The prices where also ridiculous, I would not have minded them so much if the food was good, but alas it wasn't. I would not recommend this place at all. | |

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | Love love love Dirty Dicks!! | | By an NCBeaches Guest on 5/21/2008 | | We have been vacationing at the Outerbanks for 7 years now and every year it is a wonderful tradition to go to DD. My husband and I always get the trinity plater. We love it!! Seafood is fresh, atmosphere is relaxed, tee-shirts and flip flops welcomed! It's a great hangout. We are headed to OBX in July and we can't wait to spend some time at DD. Oh and the Bread Pudding is to die for!!! | |

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | Good but too expensive | | By an NCBeaches Guest on 4/28/2008 | | We had the BBQ shrimp and it was delicious. The prices were so steep that we had to split the entree (about $30). | |

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | Fun Time | | By Bunny on 4/19/2008 | | We dined at Dirty Dick's last July and can not wait unil June 2008 when we will be back. The service was a bit slow but they were packed, a sure sign of good food and a fun time. We will save room for your Bread Pudding for desert, YUM! | |

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | Disappointing | | By Paul on 4/10/2008 | Food is ok. We arrived 5mins after the lunch rates (3:05pm)so dinner is it was. 3 fried plates 2 waters and 1 iced tea and tip, $70.00. We should have walked out when we saw how confusing the menu was, but,we were hungry and thought the food would be better than it was. It wasn't terrible but certainly not up to the prices. We will not be back. | |

Husband said the Wahoo was fantastic. Crabcake sandwich just so-so. Service was good the day we were there although the management was having a run-in with customers who were evidently walking out on the bill. Always nice to have a little drama with your meal. LOL. Would probably go back.

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | Love those Huge Shrimp | | By Guest on 9/2/2007 | | We went there three times, visited the other two and the Huge Shrimp were awsome. Crab legs were good and the hush puppies were very good. I would definately go again. | |

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | We will go back. We loved it. | | By Ned on 8/8/2007 | | We went to the new location at Hatteras Marina. View was great...restaurant was clean, busy, friendly. The food very good. I had scallops medallian. Outstanding! Service was very good. We were seated close to the kitchen door, and was able to watch the entree's coming out to tables. What a presentation! I didn't think prices were too bad, considering the area and timing of our stay. We are looking forward to returning in the fall for more great food. | |

If you want to buy a Tee Shirt | | By an NCBeaches Guest on 7/23/2007 | | Ate there last night. My girlfriend had snow crabs with 2 little potatoes as a side for about $24. King crab was over $42. I ordered crawfish assuming they were steamed. They were fried and tasted horribly. No lobster available. Service was good. Not many customers though. She had a ceasar salad that was good and large but cost extra. I had cup of She-crab soup. THAT was great. Over rated with all the T-shirts and bill boards. Last year, the Kitty Hawk location never brought out my entree. Avon location not as nice looking as the other location.

First time got crabs that were water bogged. Second time, they DIDN'T EVEN HAVE crabs and the waitress didn't know until after our drinks were served!

| 1 of 2 people found this review helpful: | | Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | Too expensive!! | | By an NCBeaches Guest on 5/21/2007 | I dropped $37 for lunch for two adults and a 3 year old at DD's. All we had was a catfish sandwich and an oyster po-boy, both were $10 a piece. My little girl had corn-dog nuggets and fries for $6 (amounted to six quarter sized corndog bites)! Tack on a $2 ice tea and a $1.25 small juice you end up with $37 bucks (includes tax and tip).
Go to the local grocery store and by a bologna and bread and make a sandwich. You save money and it tastes just as good.
DD's is not the only restaurant that charges these prices, so bring your no-limit credit card to OBX, you'll need it to eat in the restaurants!

| 1 of 1 people found this review helpful: | | Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | Paying for the name | | By an NCBeaches Guest on 4/13/2007 | | Yeah, you can say you went to Dirty Dicks. Yee ha. The steamed seafood was beyond expensive, the ''lightly battered'' shrimp were beyond battered and the fries which were most of the meal were soggy. The Beer was cold and the crab dip appetizer was good but other than that...not worth it! | |

| I loved it | | By a Guest Reviewer | | Best seafood I have ever ate. I loved the Snow crab I will be back in June. | |

| Overrated | | By a Guest Reviewer | Pros: Good selection of crabs. Food and service decent enough. Cons: Seafood and regular menu items way overpriced... even a chicken finger platter was $11. | |

| 1 of 1 people found this review helpful: | | Dirty Dick's left me wanting | | By a Guest Reviewer | | I was excited to be going to eat at a place where the slogan is ''I got my crabs at Dirty Dick's'', catchy. The food was fantastic. However, the service and prices left me with a sour taste. The decor was kind of cheesy too. We had a great time there, all 12 of us | |
