Hatteras Landing Shops: Join in on the stunt kite demonstrations, power kite lessons, toy demos, etc. For the kids there will be the climbing wall, face painting and kite making. Fun for the whole family!

Day at The Docks - A Celebration of Hatteras Island Watermen
Saturday, September 20, 2008 - Saturday, September 20, 2008 (10am - 5pm)
Hatteras Village Waterfront: The commercial and charter fishing fleets will display their boats, skills, products and gear in a variety of competitions and demonstrations. There will be a number of maritime-inspired games for children and fresh, local seafood will be featured in a chowder cook-off and cooking demos. Traditional wooden boats, including a shad boat, NC's State Boat, a beach dory and a mullet skiff will be on site. Musical entertainment throughout the day. Blessing of the Fleet begins at 5:30 p.m.

Frank and Fran's 9th Annual Red Drum Tournament
Thursday, October 23, 2008 - Saturday, October 25, 2008
Hatteras Island: A three day individual surf fishing tournament with 300 paid anglers competing to catch and release the largest and most red drum. Prizes total over $12,000 to multiple winners.
