This place would be great if it were in NY or LA! Great food, Great Bar, nice people - what else could you ask for? Their soups are out of this world. The only (and I mean only) negative is that the music gets way too loud after 9:00PM. By that time, you should be on your 3rd or 4th martini and really should not care!

The martini list is extensive and unique, as is the wine list. It is very contemporary for Corolla with a great NYC style atmosphere. We were all pleasantly surprised and will return again next year. We ordered several different things from the menu to share and everything was EXCELLENT! This place is highly recommended! Metropolis really stands out from all of the other restaurants in Corolla! | |

Great wine list, wonderful martini list, and excellent tapas. There are obviously better places in Corolla for a traditional ''dinner'', but it's excellent for its niche. | |

My husband and I go every time we come to the outer banks, without fail. The soups, breads, cheeses, and specialities every night are wonderful. We go every time we are here. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cozy little getaway for some scrumptious food. If you go, you must try the bread and butter of the day. It is always wonderful. The cheese tray varies from day to day depending on the supplies. Awesome cheeses that I haven't tried before. Definitely a hit. If you are in the Hampton Roads areas, you can try one of the other places owned by the Metropolis folks with the same great everything, Six in Pheobus or Empire in Norfolk. Well worth the money if you like this kind of place. | |
