Definition of a Tourist Trap

While this place has a decent wine list, the food is just terrible. I ordered their namesake dish - grouper - which the waiter said the chef preferred to cook to medium, to which I replied ''just don't overcook it.'' It came dried out and inedible. When I sent it back, the second round of grouper was cold and still dry and overcooked. I believe it was pre-cooked, frozen, and microwaved straight from Sysco. The waiter begged us to try something else from the menu. This time, I tried tuna, which was also cold and dry - again, if it had been seared on the outside upon order, wouldn't you expect the outside to be hot? I was so hungry by now, I ate it. My husband's she-crab soup tasted like nacho cheese dip, or maybe beer-cheese soup with clam juice poured in. Since when does crab soup come with cheese and with zero crab? He also had their ''signature'' salad, grilled heart of romaine - a lopped off head of romaine, room temp with grill marks, and cheap balsamic vinegar on it. There was some other blob on the plate, we're not sure what it was. Take out your dictionary, look up ''tourist trap,'' and there will be a picture of Grouper's Grille.

Simply elegant and awesome food!

THE best wine selection on the beach. We had a private wedding party there after eating there. We ate there on Tuesday and decided to go back three times in the same week. Everyone must try the experience but maybe leave the kids at home. Simply awesome and to talk about!
