The Corolla Brew Pub is located in the courtyard area in Monterey Plaza, next to the movie theater. Open for lunch and dinner the menu features sandwiches, burgers and German sausages. The dinner menu has some seafood entrees and several German specialty items that will go nicely with the large variety of beers available.
Local beers from the Outer Banks Brewing Station are on tap and the pub has a good selection of other beers to choose from, including seasonal brews.

We were there in the mid afternoon for a beverage and a snack which we found to be an enjoyable visit. We decided to give it a chance for dinner and found the food to be some of the best we have experienced on the outer banks. In fact it was the best we have had on the outer banks. The value was great, the sevice prompt and attentive. It is a very relaxing restaurant.

It seemed clean. We didn't see any hostess or waiter, so we were unsure of what to do and seated ourselves. The restaurant was extremely cold and we were immediately uncomfortable. We ordered one of the darkest homebrews and thought it was better than fair - maybe a 7 out of 10. It seemed the only employees there were (this is an assumption here) a husband and wife, and they seemed like the owners. It was extremely busy and they could have used another waiter or waitress. Perhaps because it's the off-season, but they seemed to personally know most patrons. This lead to one or the other having long conversations with people in the restaurant while we waited to ask for condiments or refills. We waited for more than 5 minutes after asking for a to go box while the wife sat at the table of two patrons before we could catch the man's attention to get our check. I would think that after someone asks for a to go box, the check automatically comes out soon after. The food was good although it did get cold too fast with the AC turned down to such a low temperature. The man was friendly when he had time to come around, but we don't think we'll be returning until they decide to really offer something better than the other local restaurants.

We happend upon it b/c it is somehat tucked away in the Food Lion shopping center. The self described all-in-one owner, brewmaster, dishwasher, cook and bartender kept us company as we had a few pints and some great food. The Guinness was great and the food was awesome. You got to stop by if you are in the area!!

The beer list is exceptional, food is excellent, and the owners are extremely attentive. We've been here on multiple occasions (often on consecutive nights) and plan on visiting often in the future.

Unfortunately, it is rather easy to miss. Tucked in back of the Monterrey plaza it is not visible from the road. My wife and I happened upon it while shopping in the plaza. That being said, it deserves to be shown, not hidden.
CBP has several beers of their own (2 on tap when I went) contract brewed, but their recipies. The pilsener is a fine example, and does not hide its amply bitter hop profile. Their brown is also well crafted and flavorful, and perhaps more approachable for the non-craft beer drinker. In addition, they keep a very nice selection of local brews on tap incuding at least one darker style. There's only a single US macro tap (for the ''uninformed''. Beers from the local Weeping Radish and Outer Banks Brewing Station stood alongside some more tradiional taps (Guinesss, Newcasle). Nice local bottle selection as well.
They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and excel at all three. Once my wife and I discovered the place we went back a few times.
The CBP is family-owned and run and it shows. They take extra care of the food, brew and service, and include specials using local ingredients whenever possible.

Try them one of your first nights there 'cause you'll want the chance to go back several times. It's family-owned and operated and their commitment to quality is apparent in both the food and service. We eat there whenever we're in Corolla and have never been disappointed with the fare (from seafood pasta to the meatloaf). Both of the house brews are great, but don't let the color fool you, the Nut Brown Ale is the milder of the two. A little hard to find, but well worth the search!

The food is fantastic and they have a great variety of beer...including 2 of their own. It is completely family run and it shows! They really care about their customers satisfaction. Once you try it you will go back again and again! It is definately a must for anyone in Corolla!!!
