| Value: |  | Service: | | | | By Two from Tennessee on 6/29/2008 | | After a day of shopping and fighting traffic in Nags Head it was a delight to reach the village of Buxton and the Outer Banks Motel was just as delightful. The staff was as happy to see us as if we'd been long lost friends and she was very helpful in recommending her favorite places to eat as well as a few to avoid. The room was large, quiet and comfortable. It had two porches and was just the briefest of walks to the swimming pool with hot tub and just one stairway away from the beach. They have different sized rooms for all different sized groups and families. The beach is quiet and uncrowded since the motel is on the edge of Buxton. The beds slept very well. My only caution for people who have problems with stairs is that the entire motel is elevated as you can see in the picture and you park under your room, so be prepared to climb 1-2 flights to get to your private porches and room. Overall a very good value, especially considering the seaside location. | |

They were very nice about changing reservations or room choices and late arrival plans on each occasion. Rooms were very clean and neat. Fridges, TVs, etc worked well. We really like the screened porches, even though we didn't get to use it much last trip. Could use two fish cleaning and vehicle rinsing areas; only saw/used one. Parking can be tight when booked full. Friendly folks. We plan to return there soon as we can and The Point gets open again...if it does. | |

The rooms and service are the best. We have not had a hard time making reservations, even if we call a week in advance. | |
