Everything is perfect here from the large rooms, the wonderful staff and the great scenery. We left the day after Memorial Day 2008 and are already planning our next visit to the OBX and Cape Hatteras Motel. | |

My husband & I started going down in 1987 when our daughters were young. We have watched the change of not only the beach, but also the buildings at this location. One thing hasn't changed - the service and helpfulness of the staff there. The view from the oceanside buildings can't be beat and the pool and hot tub are quite relaxing. | |
| Good place to stay | | By a Guest Reviewer | We just got back from Cape Haterras Motel. It's a good place to stay because of its proximity to the lighthouse. We even got a 15% discount with the 2006 Outer Banks Getaway Card found in The Outer Banks 2006 Official Travel Guide we picked up at the visitors center on the way in from Nags Head. Our oceanfront view was nice. Rooms were accomodating with refrigerator, microwave, and HDTV. The biggest drawback was that none of the rooms were non-smoking, but they had let us borrow their ozone generator machine to neutralize the air while we were out for an hour. Also, they did not have a crib for our toddler.
Nevertheless, our kids enjoyed picking up the variety of great seashells that washed up in front of the hotel. | |

| Wonderful Hotel | | By a Guest Reviewer | | this hotel was a very nice place to stay.the closest to the ocean you can get. no sand dunes stood in front,so the is a great view.we had stayed and forgot to pack the pillows when we left.i called and they sent them to us (postage paid).the staff was so friendly.would stay again .very nice!!!! | |
