Cape Woods Campground, located on Hatteras Island, is open year round and offers tent sites and full hook-up RV sites. Water, electricity, sewer and cable television hookups are available. Guests will enjoy the convenient heated bath house with hot and cold water, dump station, propane gas, laundry facility, swimming pool and playground. Pets are allowed.

Website is deceiving

First let me start by saying the website is very deceiving, the pictures make it look like it is a well maintained place but it really isn't. No AC in the bath houses come on it get's so hot and muggy there the last thing you want to do is get hot and sweaty after taking a shower to clean up. Second of all the management/owners are unprofessional they smoke in the office not caring of others. The pond well it's full of vegetation how could they have that as an advertisement on their website, it's gross. At the pool there is a huge list of rules and regulations to the campgrounds does anyone follow them? Are they really enforced? I was very disappointed with my stay, love Hatteras Island but not so much the campgrounds.
