A fixture on the island surfing scene since 1977, Natural Art is all about serious surfing. They shape custom boards and create custom artwork, so you can design your own.

They sell new and used boards; and rent surf boards, body boards and wetsuits. They do repairs, too. All the surfing support gear is there: clothing, wetsuits, footwear, rash guards, accessories, and sunscreen. Check out their surf video rentals.

I've been coming to hatteras for 20 years and haven't found a better shop on the island! These guys are great and sell the most unique products I've seen. Great lax place to shop

by far best surf sop in obx good prices i bought a board here for 50 dollars best on the islan and next to a delicous resteraunt.

I've been coming down to OBX for a few years now at the end of the summer and my friends have all rented from almost all the different shops in Buxton and Avon and Natural art is by far my favourite. The people are super nice, the most chill and friendly out there. The boards were in good shape and they had an excellent selection at very good prices. They didn't charge more for a longer board or anything stupid and shallow like that. They have a good selection of products such as clothing, boards, accessories, videos...etc at fairly good prices. There was nothing too crazy cheap but their stuff is quality so that's to be expected. I love this store mostly for the awesome friendly service that you get and for the real family run surf shop feel.
