We have traveled extensively and have been involved with many childcare centers. We haven't found a center that can compare to The Munchkin Academy. It is truely a community based early childhood environment which provides excellent opportunities for growth and development through indoor and outdoor activities. Children go outdoors daily, which we love, and learning activities are brought outdoors! All activities are developmentally appropriate and provide opportunities for learning, self expression, creativity and fun. The loving guidance my children receive at The Munchkin Academy from the educated and professional teaching staff surpasses all we have seen. The tuition rates are the lowest in Dare County because of the committment to provide quality early childhood education at the lowest possible rates, thus helping all families. The center Director and staff treat each family with respect and dignity. The center has been established for 17 years and has an excellent reputation for working with all families, including children with special needs, families in financial need, or families in crisis.

When you start to ask your children what they learned there you will soon find out that they do not learn much at The Munchkin Academy. Basically The Munchkin Academy is a place for your children to be babysat not taught. I also think that the children go outside for too long a time. My child attended The Munchkin Academy not too long ago and the children who attend there go outside more than they learn. I thought that this place was supposed to be focused on teaching children the best they can but my child never came home knowing anything new.
