Pop's is frequented by a lot of locals - a sign that the seafood meets local standards of excellence. Across from Buxton Harbor, Pop's specializes in steamed seafood, including shrimp, clams, oysters and crab legs. They also have more hearty fare, like burgers, subs, barbecue, seafood platters and a lot more. They're open for lunch and dinner, and they close on Sundays.

We were NOT disappointed in the least! Yeah, so it's smokey, we smoke, yeah so it's a local watering hole, we enjoyed the ICE COLD beer! Watched locals shoot darts and (pay attention)...THE BEST STEAMED SEAFOOD ANYWHERE! But please DON'T TELL A LOT OF PEOPLE, WE'D LIKE TO GET A SEAT NEXT TIME WE VISIT. Shared a seafood platter and had leftovers (hint: didn't need the fries or slaw). It was a seafood gazmic experience. Thanks Pop's and Sherry!

A local turned me on to it and I live for a crab cake sandwich lunch. I love the small space and the local ambiance. It's a great place to go and just chill out with a few beers and buds.

Yes its smokey, its a bar. No its not flashy, but there's something very appealing about a casual local watering hole. Had the broiled seafood platter for two. Was a little pricey, and the service was very slow, but good Lord the food! Best seafood I have ever had. Food was brought out overflowing on paper plates, shrimp, scallops, crawfish, crab legs, hushpuppies, fries, I can't even remember all the food there was. Ended up giving the rest to some guys at the end of the bar there was so much. If you love amazing seafood in a laid back local joint, go here!

Loved the food and beer was ICE cold. Great little local place. It was a little small and parking was tight, but the food more than made up for it. I had the crab nuggets and crabcake sandwich - VERY good. Oh, also tried the Clam Chowdah - AMAZING. Will definitely return next time we're in town.

If busy food service can be slow but worth waiting for. If you are looking for a steam bar with local flavor Pop's is the best
