Any fig lover should not miss trying the homemade fig ice cream if it is available the day you stop by. I am not a super ice cream fan, but I went ga-ga over their fig ice cream and so did my husband who is a ice cream nut. On another trip my husband had great things to say about the chocolate.

This is our 4th year coming to Uncle Eddy's...my kids love the mini golf and the ice cream is delicious! We love the little shop, especially the bird that greets everyone. The windchimes are beautiful too!!

An OBX tradition

We take our two grandsons to the Outer Banks for a week every year. We found Uncle Eddy's the first year and now we go every night while we are there. Our favorites are the Turtle Sundae and the Hurricanes. Love, love, Love Uncle Eddy's. We just got back and can't wait for next year!

Prepare to be addicted!

Uncle Eddy's is the best! A must for an OBX vacation. We will go every night when we arrive in Sept. CocoFluff rocks! We haven't been for one whole year and it is going to be a highlight of our trip-- we know this from experience! Advice-- have your cholesterol checked BEFORE your trip, not after- once you start the only thing that can stop you is when you go home!

Can't Wait

We found Uncle Eddys two years ago and went every night we were on vacation. This year we are going in August and we will visit every night. LOVE LOVE LOVE the ice cream!!! Uncle Eddys is a highlight of our vacation on the Outer Banks.

Mango/Rasberry Heaven

We stay next door at the Croatoan Inn every year & this is one of my favorite places. I got mango rasberry swirl when I was there last week & let me say I'd be willing to drive 9hrs back from Maryland to get some more! How I wish you could mail order some of that!!!!

We're OBSESSED!

My entire family loves uncle eddy's we come down to Hatteras every yr for a week and we go to Uncle Eddys almost every night! Uncle Eddy's is a huge part of our vacation and vacation wouldn't be the same without it! LOVE THIS PLACE!

Our famiy loves Uncle Eddy's. We stay at the Falcon Motel (next door) every year, and we always go to Uncle Eddy's for dessert. This year, our two boys were old enough to enjoy the miniature golf.

Greatest Icecream (Frozen Custard) Ever

I lived in Buxton when the new owners took over in 05 they gave out free Ice Cream until they were out of stock in SEP. I used to pass by this place all the time not giving it a second thought until free ice cream day. That is when I had the opportunity to gorge myself on the most delicious treats I had ever tasted. I would go there almost every day when it opened in May until the sad day I moved to AK. I had to go 3 years without Uncle Eddy's now I live in FL and regardless of friends that still live on HI my main goal is Frozen Custard! Do yourself a favor and stop here its Buxton's best kept secret. These folks take pride in their product and it shows!!

the sorbet smoothies are out of this world and its a great place for the little ones to play putt-putt just be sure to put on your bug spray before you go

The frozen custard is amazing and the flavors change daily. The putt putt is great for smaller kids and play is unlimited. We never miss visiting Eddy's when we are in the Outer Banks.

I went there today and there was a rude older man behind the counter. He wouldn't even smile. Someone came in and asked if the owner was there (a friend of his, I guess) and the man rolled his eyes and said, no. Then he proceeded to stomp off. I still love the place but that employee really needs an attitude adjustment. The other employees were very nice and kind of apologetic about him.

Homemade Ice Cream - possiblities are ENDLESS!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I highly recommend this ice cream shop. It's totally worth every penny and there are new flavors everyday. ALSO the other thing I love is that you can mix and match any flavors, with no extra charge! Everyone is so friendly, it's wonderful. So if you visit the OBX any time soon, swing on by to Uncle Eddy's in Buxton!
