Several items were out in the store, but ONLY the smallest and cheapest. They still had a wide variety of items for us to purchase (so what if we had to go up to the next size for $.50). The store is very clean and the staff (with limited English) were very nice and lines were reasonable. Good produce and bakery items as well. Felt like the grocery store from home (just closer to the beach).

This Food Lion is one of the reasons we stick with Avon. It is so nice to have a well-stocked and well-priced grocery store in a remote location like the Outer Banks. The staff is casual, but friendly. The prices are great. They even offer the same sale prices as they do in their other ''mainland'' stores (unlike the only other major grocery store chain on the Outer Banks who excludes the Outer Banks stores from their sales) and the location can't be beat. October is coming and we'll be at Food Lion in Avon just about every day!

Ocracoke is small and only has a local and limited grocery selection. We always travel to this Food Lion grocery store to stock up. The selection is as great as we find on the mainland and the employees are very friendly. I was looking for specific beach gear that I wondered if they carried and the young man was very friendly and helpful and yes I was able to get all of the stuff that I wanted right there at one location. That saved more time for us for being on the beach. I've only been there during the peak season and the shelves have always been well stocked and although there are many people using the store the cashieers keep the lines moving quickly.

I was glad to see a familiar face/Food Lion. And true to their reputation the store was stocked, the service was fantastic. Like Arnold we will be back.

It is extremely overcrowded, and the long lines make it an unenjoyable experience! It is worth the trip to go a bit further to other stores for all your grocery needs!

They are the cleanest store on the beach and have very friendly and prompt service. The shelves are always stocked and they take their time to help out their customers. If anyone is vacationing in the Outer Banks, check out this store!
