I would reccomend the alaskan snow crab legs any day. My and my. Family also enjoyed playing trivial pursuit while we were waiting for our food. The waitress was excellent on service it was like she knew exactly when I was about to run out of sweet tea. the only downy was that you couldn't here the TV, but you can read the captions so the not all bad. The Shrimp and Grits are faboulous, the crab cakes are superb, the crab dip was mouth watering, the bread, the tea, EVERYTHING! All of the sauces that accompanied the meals...oh yeah, the salads rocked! Only one problem, we had no room for dessert, but we will be back again and again!!!!Yum yum yum!!!! | |

I knew we had a babysitter and was going to have a rare evening out without children. I did some web searchs and found MACK DADDY'S. Based on other reviews, we went there and had AN EXCELLENT meal. The service was A+, the food was WONDERFUL. My husband and I are big eaters and it was a nice surprise to have a nice meal that wasn't some dainty fancy portion. Will definitely visit again. | |

Portions are generous, but not impossible to finish. My wife had the pecan encrusted fresh catch and I had the tuna; both were excellent with unique flavors. The atmosphere is nice, but also fun with paper table cloths and crayons at each table. This was a big plus in keeping our 18 month old son occupied. The only downside is that the prices were in the high range for the area ($17 - $23)and the service was a little slow for a mostly empty restaurant at 5:00 pm. Overall, this is a great place with courteous staff and excellent food. | |

This is the 8th year we have visited. Today was our first visit to Mack Daddy's. I can honestly say it was the best dinner we have ever experienced on the Outer Banks. I had the catch of the day with crab meat and my husband had the meatloaf. The fish was perfectly cooked and the crab was fresh and delicious. The meatloaf was a step up from what I make at home. Asked twice if a salad was included but were told no. Waiter charged $13 for a salad to go with the entree. Owner was unwilling to take anything off of the bill when we were not provided everything we paid for. | |
