| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | Terrific Staff, Not so Teriffic food | | By Mellyora on 7/1/2008 | | We weent there for the first time the first of June. The lunch ''specials'' were not on a menu so it was easy to tell what they were. For lunch my husband had the flounder and got 1 small piece of fish. I had the shrimp, which had some type of breading that was so think over the tiny shrimp, but I did get a decent lunch portion. The waitor, (I canot remember his name but he has dark hair and is a volunteer fireman in Avon) was super nice, giving us tips on where to look for shipwrecks and other points of interest. The decor was superb, I loved sitting in the resturant looking around and the pictures on the ceiling were fun. For a meal I would not return. | |

The first dish I ordered from this restaurant contained RAW scallops. What a way to kill an appetite. The second time I went (a year later), our group of 8 waited over an hour to be seated - which we understood because we had a large group and it was dinnertime. However, we were given two booths of 4 back-to-back. So we couldn't all eat together. When we received the checks, the waitress added the mandatory gratuity as if we had had a table of 8. We all complained saying we asked for a table of 8, but they gave us 2 tables of 4 and therefore she could not automatically add the gratuity to our bill. She wouldn't budge. So, we paid our bills and all vowed never to return to the restuarant again.
The food wasn't that great anyway, compared to other places in the area.

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | Don't waste your money here | | By Dad at the beach on 6/11/2008 | | Food was too pricey and the lack of kids menus is unforgivable at the beach. Service seemed cold and hurried. We had two adults and 3 kids and it was well over $100. In contrast, we got much better service and food (quality and quantity) at another place for under $100. | |

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | By Brent on 6/8/2008 | | The Dolphin Den is a good ''staple.'' The food is not excellent, but it is good. The service is good, also. Get the steamed shrimp as an entree- it is a lot of good food for the money, OR get there before 5 and get one of the early bird specials (under $10). They do need a kids menu, but there are a few items that kids like- grilled cheese, motzarella sticks, etc. (They could be ''kid priced'' though.) | |

| Value: | | Service: | | Food: | | | Ambiance: | | | | first time was our last time... | | By obxbums on 5/9/2008 | Had a bad experience here a few years ago where the waitress had no idea what she was doing with the credit card machine. I was certain she had charged me twice but the owner argued the point. Later I confirmed this with the credit card company including showing him the statement. He still argued the point with me! The food was just ok... I have to agree with the comment about the booths... very uncomfortable! | |

Ket Lime was the best since Key West, can't wait till this year.

Not spectacular, but pretty good. I'd go back, but probably wouldn't go there for a special occasion.

She did a fantastic job. The food was very good - I had a ruben sandwich and it was one of the best I've ever had.

We tried the coconut shrimp and blackened tuna, which was fresh from a catch the night before. Our friends tried the linguini & clam sauce and best cooked fried flounder. You have to try the key lime pie to believe

The food was ok but probably wouldn't go back. Definitely not the best seafood.

The only thing I've ever tried is the tuna steak salad -- it was recommended and I fell in love the fist time.
