Very packed parking lot (shares with neighboring golfing behind). Not very big indoor seating area. Ice cream is same menu as others nationally, however prices are significantly higher.

Twice my husband went alone to get us a cone to bring back to the hotel - and every time he had to ask for something to carry the ice cream in. The manager just looked at him blankly - um, if my husband is in the car at the drive through, and obviously alone, exactly how is he supposed to drive with a cone in each hand? However, the ice cream, as always, was good.

My family got amazing service, the bethrooms were clean (and that must be hard for them to do considering we saw some people changing out of sandy beach clothes in there when we first walked up to the restroom)I was really pleased with the speed and efficentcy of the service. They made our treats super FAST and then answered questions and get this one of them even called the local ferry 1-800 number to help us plan our drive to Ocracoke. I mean that kind of thing just doesn't happen at most restaurants. We thought one of the guys looked familiar and it turns out they he has been working there every summer for years. And that was the case for the other staff as well. They have all been there for years. To me that says a lot about the kind of place it is. If these people come back year after year then the owners must be pretty nice people. P.S. From the Waves, NC DQ you could see the most wonderful sunsets.

The lines are long and the service is slow.
