Beach-restaurant fare tends to be predictable, but Cafe 12's extensive menu has many things you won't find anywhere else. Flat Tops are open-face tortillas with a variety of toppings, plus there are dozens of wraps, salads and sandwiches, stuffed baked potatoes, pasta dishes, unique appetizers and more. There wasn't a customer in the restaurant a little after noon, not surprising in the off season, but what did surprise me was that out of the 3 staff in the restaurant, not one person even said ''hello!'' We took a seat at the bar, the cook walked back and forth, but didn't look our way. Not one of the 2 people talking to each other in the back said hello, or asked us if we wanted a drink. After sitting there for a few minutes, we left.
