''You cannot visit Corolla without making a tour of the lighthouse and grounds. It's a great family outing, but can become crowded in season. The guides only allow less than 10 people at a time to tour the lighthouse. Best time to visit is right after a rain storm...it's deserted!...''

''This was one of the places that was on my ''Must See'' list. It did not disappoint. The stories of the rescues were very interesting and seeing the house and the kitchen building like it would have been back then was a lot of fun. We did not get to tour the original 1874 station because it was damaged from a lightning strike. I definitely recommend visiting if you're going to the Outer Banks....''

''This house reminded me alot of the Biltmore House in Asheville. Not in size but in the grandeur of the house itself, how modern it was for it's time. It had an elevator, a refrigerator in the kitchen and central heat throughout most of the house. During the audio tour, you get to see many rooms in the house including the bedrooms of Mr and Mrs Knight. The bathrooms were plumbed for fresh and saltwater and Mrs Knight's bathroom had a bidet. This is one of the few homes on the Outer Banks that has...''
