| Extraordinary! | | By a Guest Reviewer | | My son and his new wife spent their pre-honeymoon here and in their haste to reach their Honeymoon destination, left a very nice monetary gift behind. The staff picked it up and packed it away in their safe. They called immediately to tell us that it had been found. Extraordinary service! Extraordinary place! | |

| the best of the best | | By a Guest Reviewer | | This hotel is the standard for all hotels. The decorating is fabulous. It really makes you feel very up scale this hotel is worth your money. | |

| Can't wait to go back! | | By a Guest Reviewer | | Very nice, cozy, and staff were great. Hotel within walking distance of great restaurants, bars, and lots of shops. You can park your car and not drive anywhere for the weekend! Rooms are themed for different movies, very unique | |

| Website pictures are deceiving | | By a Guest Reviewer | | My wife and I stayed in the Cinema house and expected a nice room based on the pictures from the website and the price we paid. However, our room seemed more like a college apartment with a few framed posters of South Pacific (that was supposed to be our theme by the way). Also, the furniture seemed old and the couch looked dirty to the point we sat on towels when we sat there. The whole suite felt of musty, nothing was updated, and overall it did not feel clean. Additionally, the breakfast they provide is a paper bag that includes a danish, a yogurt, and a small orange juice that they leave at your front door--it was far from sufficient for a breakfast or any kind of continental breakfast. Finally, the ''garden'' was more like a lawn with a waterfall you see at a miniature golf course. For the money that we paid and the pictures we saw online, we expected something much more upscale. The only bonus of the Wilmingtonian was its downtown location. Next time we go to Wilmington, we will save our money by staying elsewhere and spend the money we save on something better. | |

| Money NOT well spent | | By a Guest Reviewer | | I recently stayed at the Wilmingtonian and was NOT impressed. The rooms were a combination of beach meats Grandma's house. The furniture was outdated and the couch looked dirty, my family and I would not even sit on it. The breakfast goodie bag was a waste of money and I wish that I could have taken it out of our of the price. The pastery was less than tasty and if you do not like or eat yogurt, then it is wasted. The website lists that there are ''gardens'' and they are really just a back yard with a patio and a cheap waterfall. The pictures on the website make you think you are staying in a lavish place. Then when you pull up, the office is in a small dingy looking building. The website makes sure to ONLY take pictures of the house that is used as the resturant and makes you think that you will also be staying in the big mansion. Instead, you have a room that opens to the outside and is less than lavish. Next time, I would rather spend my money at the Holiday Inn. The only saving grace is that it is located in downtown. | |

| Best hotel in Wilmington | | By a Guest Reviewer | | My wife and I have stayed in both the de rosset house (Cupola suite) and the Clarendon (2-bedroom suite)in October and November. The Clarendon house experiences some noise on the weekends due to the jazz bar below--so we prefere the other houses. The rooms we have stayed in are clean, spacious, and unique. The staff will bend over backward to accomodate your needs. We will continue to stay at the Wilmingtonian when we vacation in Wilmington. For a nice dinner, try the Grill Room | |
