Yes- the view and location are great, but they were simply not enough to compensate for the inconvenience of my stay. My room was dirty (dust, not vacuumed, dirty floor) until I had to call on the second day to have it cleaned or changed! While they did, that is not something anyone should expericence. The TV channels were mostly info-mercials. And while there is much to do out of your room, a good comercial-free movie to unwind at the end of the day would not hurt! There was no bar or business center available, and the HEAVY remodeling occupied the staff and made common areas look dirty.
I had to open my door and walk by a roomservice tray, full of dirty dishes, for two or the three days of my stay.
So consider staying elsewhere this sumemr until they finish their adjustments, and give you your money's worth!
** I will mention that I asked the waitress for a dessert not on the menu (fruit with chocolate on the side) and it was SPECTACULAR! Thank you for that. | |

Normally, when I pay that much for a room, holiday or not, I am accustomed to those two features. I would recommend this hotel to friends because of the location, but not because of the rooms. The hotel itself is very nicely designed and has a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. | |

When we arrived there was wine, cheese and crackers and fresh fruit in our room. They even had Temp-u Pedic beds. There is a wonderful resteraunt in the hotel, a nice lounge and a gift shop. Located on Cape Fear what could be better. You are even with in walking distance of town. The staff has to be the nicest most accomidating I have ever seen. They just can not do enough for you. | |
