A must visit!

The absolute best breakfast in the entire Wilmington, North Carolina area.
I have visited the Wilmington area almost every year since I was age 6, sometimes twice a year. I don't mind admitting that's 42 years of visits, and I have eaten at Whitey's every time I've visited.
When I'm there, I make it a point to eat at Whitey's every morning for breakfast. Yes, I've tried other restaurants for breakfast, but nothing beats Whitey's for my money!! (I would even drive from my home in Pennsylvania to Wilmington just to have breakfast at Whitey's!!!)
The staff is always friendly, and make you feel welcome. Good ole' Southern Hospitality! Visit there a few times, and they will get to know your name and a little about you. The staff is also very attentive (especially about coffee refills), and they respond quickly to their customers' needs.
By the way, the coffee is always the best. That may be attributable to the fact that their water tastes so good!
An absolute must with breakfast is the North Carolina Country Ham!! But no matter what you order, it's served hot, and it's served quickly. You won't be disappointed with the staff or the food! It's a must visit.
I've been there when the Mayor has stopped by for a visit, and has joined several regular customers at their morning table to chat with them. Whitey's is THE place to be for breakfast in Wilmington.
